2015 to 2017 were the last good years for Call of Duty. Black Ops 3 was the last good game. Cod 4 MW to Black Ops 2 was the golden age. Ghosts and Advanced Warfare were meh. Infinite Warfare had a good setting but shit everything else. CoD WW2 2017 onwards is garbage.

Call of Duty is something that has been running for so long at this point that the people that were new to it have lived long enough to see themselves become the boomer.

Wrong. Everything up to 2013 with Black Ops 2 was still the golden age. Ghosts and Advanced Warfare were meh and started the downward trend. Black Ops 3 was the only good game out of all Call of Duties beyond 2014 (campaign was dogwater but literally gold compared to anything after it and Ghosts and AW). Infinite Warfare & WW2 and the games after were trash.

MW3 was MW2 but "balanced"
It was shit compared to MW2 and everyone knows it. "Balance" killed CoD. Overpowered shit was fun and CoD was never meant to be a competitive shooter.

God I miss playing WaW and especially MW2 in my friends basement back in elementary and middle school. One of the best memories I have.

MW2 and BO1 are the games I have fondest memories from my childhood though.

True. It was just a worse MW2, but still amazing compared to what we have now. Survival Mode was top tier. I'd still prefer to play MW3's multiplayer and campaign compared to Infinite Warfare or anything after it. Ghosts and Advanced Warfare's multiplayer were also garbage but better than Infinite Warfare onwards.

For me, CoD 4, WaW and BO3 are my fondest memories. Stopped playing CoD after I tried out what Infinite Warfare had in store. Setting was the only good thing about it. Characters sucked, story sucked, multiplayer sucked, never got into the zombies in it.

Understandable but I think I was in middle school when it came out and I played it nearly everyday at my friends place so I have a lot of fond memories of it. I didn't play that much of CoD 4 but I played a shitton of MW2 and it's probably my favorite CoD game. Bo3 is something I've played a decent amount in the recent years but it will never be able to surpass the memories of what I have of the older CoDs. Infinite warfare was garbage.

WaW and BO1 were the shit. still sad that WaW is one of only two cods with coop campaign. and like says, MW2019 was actually alot better than you're giving it credit for. the movement and weapon customization just feels so right. and the campaign felt reminiscent of original MW

I found all the cod games (except 4 to an extent) frustrating to play and only enjoyed them in hindsight when the new one came out

I laugh at threads like this because it's the ultimate proof the board is overrun with children. By the time the first MW game came out people were complaining that there were way too many WW2 CODs out, and then when MW2 came out the complaint was that it was way too similar to Mw1

I don't understand why people like MW2019, it feels cheap to me, something about the feel of the gunplay is really off, doesn't help that bracing basically turns your gun into a laser.
