I'm an attorney working on groundbreaking election law issues (not for a law firm, either), not some beaten down retail, warehouse, or office worker. I spent all day basically just researching and writing about my personal interests, and I get paid a good amount for it.
Literally none of those questions or concerns apply to me. I can go out whenever I want, hang out with whomever I want, and I have plenty of time to pursue my interests.
