I'd say it's about a 60-40 split or so. A large number of gays are the politically obnoxious type who want to have as many hookups as possible, and seek attention. The other portion of gays want to lynch them, hate their "culture" and pride, and hate all the tokenism/pandering. Since they view it as stereotyping and actively harmful to general acceptance.

i kind of see what you're getting at here, but i don't think it's that black and white. the vast majority of gays (and LGBTQ+ in general) just want to be able to exist in peace. they don't necessarily want to be the center of attention, but they don't want to have to hide from the world either. just the ability to be visible, like straight people are, without fear of being maligned.
a lot of this "political obnoxiousness" you're referring to is a direct rebuttal to homophobia, to people telling them that they have to keep their gayness hidden or that they shouldn't exist at all. were that bigotry to go away, they'd shut up fast because they just want to live their lives, they're not looking for a fight. but if the "obnoxious" gays were to shut up first, traditionalist authoritarians would quickly do everything in their power to marginalize and erase them.
