yeah, it raises some questions about the future of humanity

With industralization most of farmers (and simple) jobs became obsolete (now you have about 5% people working in primary sectors in developed world as opposed to 70+ just a century and a half ago)
then with automation most workers jobs became obsolete (factory jobs), with digitalization more and more of middle jobs became useless (like various technicians, i.e. in construction, productivity has risen five times after CAD and other softwares became widespread, effectively lowering number of middle jobs by a factor of five, because all that work was done by various technicians before).

Now with AI, engineers, doctors, scientists, artists and even meta jobs like managers and bureaucrats will become obsolete. This will leave basically everyone useless, but new possibilities will perhaps open.
