I was at a small convenience store today I literally saw meme-tier prices. It cost me -- and I shit you not -- $12 to get 2 six-packs of pic related.....and this is the price AFTER I used to two $3 coupons for each of them. I originally wanted to get three (I even had a third coupon) but the price (with all three coupons) came up to $21 and something cents. This country is done.

They used to (probably still do) say that every morning on the PA system back at my high school to acknowledge former indigenous settlements that used to live where the school was built.

Easy for you to say. You don't have to watch your country spiral down the toilet in slow motion. Many Canadians, myself included, want things to change and would do so if we could. But the laws, bureaucracy hell, government, and the docile and complacent nature of the populace renders all efforts impossible.

Moving to gatineau this week from ontario. I thought earning over 100k a year would make getting house on Ont side super easy...Guess that didn't fuckin work. Granted the house I bought on the frog side is pretty nice.

Only thing that intimidates me is the increase in income tax that I'm going to have to pay...2022 tax year is gonna be an odd one, so I can't be super spendy with my extra cash flow until I get a solid idea of what my tax situation is gonna look like.

You act as if Canadians don't have legitimate grievances or genuine issues to complain about. Cost of living is ridiculously high, inflation is skyrocketing, wages are diminishing, economy in the shitter, house market is FUBAR, and the job market is more competitive, with employers asking for more and more qualifications in exchange for shitty pay, horrible hours, and virtually 0 benefits.

Second from last step CS03 with federal government.

I fucked up my last year of high school (most of high school honestly) so I was only able to get into a college program. My plan now is to do well in college and hope that I can get into a UofT engineering program after 1 year of college. If UofT looks at my high school transcript, I'm fucked.

I just graduated from queen's a couple years ago. I did compsci/cognitive science.
There are some really good profs there (try to do a compsci class with Robin Dawes), but also some really bad ones.
Kingston has some nice bars and a a decent nightlife, but that doesn't really do anything if you're a loser. I'd highly recommend trying to make friends on your res floor, and if that fails (like it did for me) join clubs. Friends make the university experience so much more bearable.

Damn, is Waterloo really that good? I heard it was great for STEM but other than that it doesn't get much publicity.

Oh, another point... Try to make at least 2-4 decent acquaintances before november, because that's when people start signing leases for apartments.

Honestly if you're just looking to be an IT fag and make over 60k a year, don't sink a bunch of money in at queens. Just take a 3 year IT course at any public college for a fraction of the price.

Thanks. I hope so too but I seriously doubt it. UofT's competition, especially for engineering, is fierce. Plus, I'm worried that they might see my fucked up high school grades and just reject me off rip.

But trust me man, universities have all kinds of people. It's not like highschool. Even if your hobbies and interests are niche as fuck, there's a very good chance you can find people like you.
The best advice I can possibly give you is just put yourself out there. In grade 12 I was a socially anxious retard, but after my 4 years of uni I'm a pseudo-normie. That can happen to you.
