I'd just buy a prebuilt.

I looked at pre builts and I realized I can get better parts for less than the price of the pre-built by building myself

watch youtube videos on pc assembly and if you happen to know anyone irl who can help you look over your build ask them, if they're like me they'd be happy to help.
Do you have a set of parts in mind on PCPartPicker?

Oh and Logical Increments is a good starting point for understanding the pricing of parts at different performance levels.

True, but you also run the risk of fucking it up and bricking your PC. I've always had the extra cash to dish out for a guaranteed product, so I just buy prebuilt. Current PC is an absolute shitter from a while back. I give it like 2 more years before it's so outdated I get another.

i have the same GPU this shit fucking sucks

this is a valid point, which is why if you know anyone who's into this ask them for help.

PC types have been assembling PCs their whole lives and forget that unless you're very observant and careful there's a lot that can go wrong.
I've been using PCs since I was 4 and assembling/installing shit since I was 9 and I'm 27 now lol

so just buy the parts that are in a prebuilt and assemble it yourself

SSDs are king, fuck HDDs.

Yeah it's pretty bad man. My favorite game right now is Chivalry 2 and I have to play it at the bare minimum settings. Looks like shit. I would have bought a better rig already, but I need to save money because I'm moving soon.

You unironically have to be an 85 IQ subhuman if you can't build a PC without fucking it up. It's like playing with legos; all you have to do is follow along with a video or written guide and you should be done in an under 3 hours if it's your first time.

Both are good.

I'm a what can go wrong, will go wrong kind of guy. If it's your first time assembling a PC it should be with disposable parts to get your feet wet, not $1500 of parts.

Here's a really good walk-through. Just remember to comb through your motherboard's manual for any discrepancies, as there could be a different pin layout.

NTA but I've messed up building my PC before because I just didn't have a place to properly build it. I had to work on a tile floor, ended up slightly bending a pin on my CPU when I installed it and it was ruined.

top tips
- Always use protection. Wear an antistatic band and a condom, and ensure both are sized right for you.
- Factory thermal paste can be pretty poor. It's easier to upgrade it before installation than to install, get piss thermals, and repaste.

I will pray for you. I think it gets outmatched by some iGPUs.

You can actually fix a bent CPU pin by bending it back into place with tweezers believe it or not. It's okay though we all learn through trial and error.

>hdd
>ssd
Pathetic. The future is now, old farts.

...that's an SSD user, what the fuck did you think it was?

a soopa speed ssd? but in a more compact and convenient format factor that supplies both power and bandwidth without any extra cables? a very expensive candy bar?

>literally has "SSD" printed on the part

It's just an NVME SSD user, SATA vs NVME looks impressive but makes almost no difference in day to day use and loading times. I have both, that's what the Kioxia device is.

I WAS TALKING ABOJT THE FORM FACTOR REEEEEEE SHADDUP UOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT

It's not impressive for anything besides laptops right now. I appreciate your enthusiasm for them at least, when games finally decide to start utilizing them we're gonna see some good shit.

>REEEEEEE SHADDUP
You wear programming socks, don't you user? It's okay, you can tell us. We're all programmers here.

Post bussy RIGHT NOW!
