Just plaster (idk if correct name) you can buy at the store. Here's two cool videos about it, first about OP pic and second a modern tutorial about it.

It's cool right? Please don't make me self-bump my own thread :(
NOOOOOOO user DONT LEAVE MY THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is very cool friend, I just don't know jack shit about whats happening though so I can't really talk about it other than that it looks cool as fuck.
I was thinking maybe I could try and so it in my room :)
Like a cool art project. My father was an interior decorator so maybe his talent will pass with his genes?
the art has been lost to time. no one knows how to do it anymore. we are in a new dark age
>it in my room
Id probably practice a bit first, obviously, but if you manage to do it thatd be awesome man. Why kind of design/look would you go for or do you have a picture of what you'd like it to be?
We just need a new artists guild. Actually funny story I mentioned my father was an interior decorator, he painted designs with stencils.
He lived in Russia but moved to america where he was hired by someone. He painted hs walls and the customer told him he loved it, but it would be too much maintenance. So he took it down.
Something ironic about this story, oh yea Russia is so soulless because of commie blocks STFU American!
I actually have a minecraft server (well had, last guy didn't maintain it) and I mostly do floral baroque stuff. Most prominent in pic rel, look at the railing and vines on the walls.
So something like that, floral and very curly.
oh yeah, with a little practice I bet you could do that man. It dont seem like a too too complicated design, sorta
Want to try on a canvas first, it's sculpture so may be a bit harder than pixel art, which I usually do.
>it's sculpture so may be a bit harder than pixel art
well now that you show a picture of it irl yeah... probably should do what you said, canvas first. Also how the hell do they get both sides identical and replicate it all the time? like you can get one side perfect, thats great, but then you gotta make it again? Its amazing honestly
Idk lol always suffered from poor symmetry but I guess you can measure it out or something. Now I need plaster and some freetime. Don't have much of the ladder because I'm renovating the new house my mom bought. But former is there at the other house.
Well after you get done renovating you should have some type of free time right? also plaster seems fairly cheap to if you ever need more, or at least a quick glance on google it is, which is good
Yeah, going back to neet, though I need to find a paint for my room before I move in. I wanna make my room like this, with pilasters and windows with wallpaper and a decorated roof. Idk how to make the pilasters though. Maybe a wood column with a stucco capital? Is all this too complicated?
This picture is unsettling. It looks like the room has some kind of disease or something.
Look closer and see all the figures, animals and weapons. From a distance it looks weird but when you look into it you can get lost in all the detail.
>Is all this too complicated?
Is it? I dont know whats happening anymore
And women are to blame
It's just that first image in particular. It makes me feel strange in a bad way that I cant describe. I think it might be the sporadic and free flowing style of the artist clashing with my regimented mind and lifestyle. That might tie into my OCD diagnosis.
