it is wrong. a physics degree is pretty highly valuable actually, not sure what you got that from. the only limitation is, it is harder if you actually want to do physics specifically rather than use it as a qualification to show your iq is high for something else. now that, is a bit more difficult, but even just some programming knowledge or other certifications (like finance) can help with that.
