Just give it a shot, most likely the group will fall apart anyway

The worst kind of player

shit, just play anything other than dnd. i promise you the average shadowrun player is just as prone to spaghetti-spillage as you.

How does not owning a bunch of dice and books make me a bad player? I know all the rules and roleplay my character well.

Are you a DM?
If so post on /soc/ if you're willing to DM a group online
meetup.com if you're up for doing it irl
Players flock to a person who'll volunteer to DM

"I've never hosted before so I might be a bit nervous."
Will probably make them more understanding to your social awkwardness

Trust me, no you dont

You deserve all the misery in this world, and then some beyond it.

I always suggest doing it online first if you have a problem with being socially awkward. The separation between yourself and others and not feeling stared at can help you be more in your moment. Then maybe one day you could switch to irl!

I used to play 3.0 with my frens every saturday but they all grew up and moved away. I don't understand how you could play with someone unless you already knew them well in another context and are already comfortable with them.

>4e babby

this is the real worst kind of player. i would hate to dm for you

You don't dm for anyone, so I'm not sure why you'd have opinions at all.

Have you tried not playing D&D?

This is the most retarded thing I've heard, everyone knows Zoom calls are the EPITOME of cringe

>LMAO, NORWEGIAN DEATH METAL RPG
You're just as bad

>furry shit
Off yourself

I had the same experience growing up but with 3.5E
good luck friend. I really mean it

How did you fix your situation?

Oh. I eventually found friends and ran a pen and paper game from 2017-2020. my last session was March 2020 and covid fucked everything

Japan has a different culture of tabletop RPGs. TRPG replays. the front of the book is a transcript of a player session, and the back is rules and Errata. Replays are designed to be bought in the afternoon, readable on the train home so you can run a game that night
