A lot of the whites in the upper income have their own business or are established enough to get their children a job. My IQ is one SD above the White American average and I am basically on my way to becoming a teacher without even working too hard in uni (already have a master's). I don't pay attention and get straight As.
Also, both of my parents are teachers so I'm more or less going to end up like them. I don't even have any debts because I'm actually smart with my money and got scholarships to pay for my student loans.

A lot of middle class black kids (based on my experience) unironically believe that their only chance at "making it" is through sports and entertainment. As a result, they give zero fucks and either don't show up to school or don't study at all.

One big problem with the black middle class is that it largely was created by government employment, particularly school district employment and city government employment.
But to have those jobs, you have to live in majority-black cities and school districts. And if you are black and you live in a majority-black city or school district, your kids turn into thug garbage.

This is true of average, but most black Americans have European DNA and there is quite a bit of variation among individuals. There is a difference between knowing someone is stupid and thinking they are stupid because of their visible racial characteristics. It's not that hard to just treat people as individuals.
