part of the reason I'm fascinated by the jonbenet ramsey and karla homolka and paul bernardo cases is because they are of that time. their home movie footage looks like those 80s vhs tumblr gifs. its a weird sad nostalgia under the illusion of perfection and wholesomeness, but the fact they have such a disturbing backstory makes them even more intriguing and uncanny.
