Seeing videos of dead malls just makes me kinda wish I was born ten years later so I'd be a teenager in the dead mall era and hang out with friends at dead malls, and have fun exploring and messing around. There's something so comfy and tranquil about these places and I'm sure we would've made good memories together.

I used to like going to the mall with my family and stuff and buy clothes that i thought looked stylish. but now i make more money than my dad ever did and have no interest in engaging in this consumerist nonsense. I wear the same outfit everyday now: white button down shirt, black pants, and dress shoes with a black peacoat when its cold.

Dan Bell on Youtube does tons and tons of high quality comfy mall videos, plus other things like exploring abandoned places. It's probably the best channel I've come across in a long while, he's a content creator that takes the "job" title seriously and puts himself in dangerous situations to make artistic documentary style achives that I've seen the news pick up as stories.

I don't know if it's because I went to one of those outdoor malls but it was very much not dead, I was sorely disappointed because I was looking forward to getting new shoes, ended up buying sneakers that didn't fit correctly without trying them on because there were 50 people in that God damn footlocker.
