The halberd is the best. Hook to drag noblemen off their horses, axe for chopping through flesh, spearpoint for piercing armor, and the best reach possible. It's perfect.
That said, in the modern day the only practical option is the knife; nothing else is worth the weight with how unlikely it is that you'll use it.
