No matter if you're a zoomer or an oldfag: what's one thing your life has taught you?
Wisdom thread
theres no point in trying to make friendships, they dont give a fuck about you and only pretend to like you out of pity. once you leave school/work/activity/group/whatever, they dont even think of you.

Woman are whores, men are faggots and Norman invaders destroy.
It's not a crime if you're not caught.
Truth is the highest of all moral values, because if what you know isn't true, you know nothing at all.
And if at your very core you don't know anything, how could you ever claim to be moral?
Look out for yourself first
No one is gonna give you anything
Death and taxes are the only things that are certain in life.
>what's one thing your life has taught you?
Telling the truth gets you no where. If youre in trouble and can avoid punishment, then lie. Being honest is a virture but you wont be rewarded for being virtuous
>Thankyou for being honest with us user, that being said pack your stuff and leave/youre under arrest
this. When I was younger I hated politicians for constant lying. Now I understand that if they were honest we would have their heads on a pike in no time.
>Being honest is a virture but you wont be rewarded for being virtuous
Not in this life user, but death is not the end.
You get tired of the bullshit, trust or don't trust.
There are genuine people out there whether online or irl.
Nobody cares a out you, anyone who pretends to care about you is either doing it out of obligation (for example, your mom) or trying to use you (friends) so give up caring about others
Chase after your dreams when youre young. Don't hesitate and fuck around, just do it and ride it out. You can always got to college later but after 30 everything becomes impossible.
It's silly to think "when I get X, I will finally be happy." Happiness isn't a lasting state; you'll always find problems.
Rather than chasing a goal, chase problems. Which life path will lead you to those problems you'd find fun and rewarding to struggle against? Choose that one.
Life is not a science, nor is there an exact recipe for a good one.
Perspective is everything.
I've seen joyful homeless alcoholics and I've seen depressed millionaires.
That's something I really needed to read. Thanks user.
Not gonna be the atheistfaggot of the thread, but the afterlife is not worth investing. Who knows what parameters we'll be judged by, if AT ALL. I firmly believe in a greater being but I don't think there's sense in giving billions of humans an afterlife especially an eternal one. We've been proved karma isn't real multiple times and thinking "they'll pay for it next life" could be just a cope. Don't count on someone watching over you from above and stand by your own morals and will.
Do not take a woman's word for it if she claims shes on birth control.
take the opportunity if it presents itself, even if it's not ideal.
friends are important in life.
following the crowd makes you happier and successful.
Nothing ain't shit unless you can do something
They were joyful because they fried their brains enough to not be able to get too sad.
Your clinging to the material reality of this single life is the root cause of all your suffering. Think deeply about this and you'll find it to be true.
Be the frog in the pond
Man has it all in his hands, and it all slips through his fingers from sheer cowardice
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake
Death is the funniest thing that will ever happen to you. I've died twice, and had a near-death experience the last time, and you actually become totally okay with dying. I realized that there's no difference between being dead and being alive, in fact I'm dying every second. My self from one second ago is dead and doesn't care. You realize that that is what dying is like too, and you realize being afraid of death was all one big joke everyone was playing on each other.
For the record, I was extremely afraid of death before this, and now I'm not.
>No matter if you're a zoomer or an oldfag: what's one thing your life has taught you?
The hero's journey can start at any time and you never stop learning and growing. It gets harder, but you never stop learning and growing. Pessimism is entirely useless and a slow poison you feed yourself.
When it comes to women, don't base your entire self esteem and validation around them. Getting pussy doesn't make a you man and its this thought that will lead to unhealthy obsessions and bad decision making.
Also If you get a bad feeling about a girl, walk away. I don't care how hot she appears.
>you realize being afraid of death was all one big joke everyone was playing on each other.
Can you please explain this in great detail?
