It's not just women I think. I was a teenager in the 2000s, but I'm old enough to remember people were definitely not like they were now. I unironically think that 9/11 and a nihilistic decade of war and consumerism left a permanent psychic scar on the noosphere. People today are far more cynical, pessimistic, cold, and hylic.
