In fact, the female orgasm is probably a net negative for human society. Females probably started out orgasming just as much as males, and that was evolved out of the homo genus as we advanced. As a social organism, the evolutionary advantage among human groups would belong to those groups who subordinated female sexuality the most completely to what benefited the group. The female orgasm interferes with that by making the individual female think her preference should matter.
