You're right; and of everyone, you would know. She's shown as a nurse in some art, I guess I'm not the first person to pick up on that. Now that you mention it, she'd be good for other reasons too. She could do medical procedures without losing her cool, and her calm, relaxed demeanor would no doubt imprint itself on everyone around her. I'm not certain she'd understand all the "tropes" at first, but after watching a few she'd probably enjoy them. The reasons so many westerns are adaptations of Kurosawa is the same reason why an Italian can direct masterpieces of the American idiom. They're all the same stories, set in world with fundamentally the same rules but with different costumes and sets. She probably would understand why, but I think she'd "get" them intuitively.
