He's someone who is a robot in the sense that he has deep mental issues that stunt him socially, he's cold and violent, while having a Chad physique and aura that attracts women despite how much of a sperg he is. Only a mongoloid would think he's "smooth" in any part of this movie, if you tried any of the silent badass mixed with sweet-talking schtick he does you'd get laughed at and maybe found endearing in a lame, cheesy sort of way if you're extremely lucky.

Nice spergout retard, but no; he spends the entire movie awkwardly saying as few words as possible, barely managing to get his point across half the time, even to people who are close friends like Shannon from the start or Irene as he gets to know her. If you met someone in real life who shared even a half of their personality with the Driver you'd think they were genuinely autistic or so shy that they are terrified of social interaction and are hyper-conscious of everything they say as they say it. Even his canned description of his services is a clear case of Hollywood autism; straight forward, specific, and calculated. The shit he does is only endearing in the context of a movie where he's playing the hero, so he can afford to act a little strange, strange in a way that would be a lot less tolerable in day to day life.
