I found out what Any Forums was because of myself being linked on it, and soon after got very hooked on the site. The answer for me is video games. That's how I found my boyfriend. But also Omegle is great and even Reddit and Any Forums (probably not /soc/) could work. Discord servers could be good too.
Basically whatever hobby you care about a lot, try to find a place where that hobby is performed/discussed online and then try to find the girls. Yes, girls are swarmed online these days, but they're still very picky... so if you are actually a good match for that person and they are single, it could definitely work.

It *is* kind of pathetic. I had no opinion other than, "Oh, everyone on the Internet acts like it's cool and correct to like this (Democrat) president. Therefore, I like them."
When I saw that I was being criticized on Any Forums for supporting that candidate, I was actually shocked. And then, again like I sponge, I became interested in hearing the other side.
Nowadays I mostly only care about social politics and do actually have original thoughts there, which lean right. AFAIK mockery wouldn't budge me today; someone proving me wrong would.
Around 13. It seemed like Any Forums was way less brutal towards females when I first found it though.
