Send out hundreds of resume
I had two interviews last week. One on Wednesday and one on Thursday. I'm a great fit for both positions and the interviewers loved me. I haven't heard back from them yet. Starting to get a bit scared. If neither of these places hire me then I'm in a bad spot, as it doesn't seem like any of the other 26 places I applied to are going to give me an interview.
that's pretty normal
turns out many people have jobs not through an impressive resume but because of their social network. getting a job as an autist is extremely difficult unless you are cream of the crop in some high demand skill
You've got to tailor your resume to the specific job listing. I've been working for about 6 years now and have only sent out like 70 resumes and I probably get a response for every 5 I send out. Unironically look at r/resumes
lol your anecdote aside tailoring your resume like that is a waste of time, chances are you will still be filtered by the over zealous ATS and you feel like a dickhead for spending time trying to adjust it to each application
same with bothering to write a cover letter
best advice: get your dad's friend to give you a job
I hate people like you with directly relevant experience being "lol job search is ez"
fuck your face with a shotgun you cunt
That's what I did though. I tailored that shit
I tailor it, that's how i actually get the responses back. I put on a happy face and an upbeat personality during zoom, and demonstrated my skillset.
Low IQ
Sorry for being factually correct
Git gud
Honestly, I drink a beer before any remote interview so that I can seem normal.
Yea, I didn't interview at all for my current position. There were hundreds of applicants and they all got ignored cause I knew a director in the organization.
>Sorry for being factually correct
The point is that your facts are personal anecdotes. For every you there's a queue of people who did the same and got no results.
what's the current position?
businesses receive thousands of resumes. what's another way you can get your name/face in front of the company. I got my Devops job without going to college by sending a pitch video to the CEO of a smaller startup. I get paid shit and work all the time but it's etter than nothing, and now i get messages from bigger companies on linkedin bc I already have a job in the field. don't give up user you can do it!
i don't know anymore, i think life as an autist ain't worth it. suicide seems like a desirable life choice at the moment.
There's so much extra bullshit you have to do these days. You have to add some faggot on linkedin and kiss his ass, pretend that you care about the company's mission statement on their website, make 50 different copies of your resume tailored to the ATS, go through 3 interviews with the same place then get ghosted, while boomers could just walk into a store and get hired the next day
>be late 20's NEET
>embellish resume
>which is just the Indeed stock resume thing
>copy paste into external website applications
>get an interview
>decline the job offer
>get another interview
>they don't call me back
>get offer for an interview
>don't message them back
>get another interview
>accept job offer
>8 months later apply for promotion
>get promotion
idk as a NEETfraud the job hunting thing doesn't seem too hard, you people must be applying for weird stuff or doing something wrong
My life experience is very different than what most of these posters are implying. I'm already more 'successful' than a few coworkers that have been with the company for a couple years. I can see myself climbing the corporate ladder pretty easily.
You had the balls to lie and got lucky they didnt check
and? it was only to get into an entry level position, I'm not a software project manager or anything making $100k/yr or whatever
even if they did check, what are they gunna do? not give me an interview or job offer? lol
it doesn't take balls when there is literally 0 repercussions
if there is one thing I learned in my short time in the real world is that you have to look out for your own best interests because nobody else is, don't even consider putting yourself in a vulnerable position because they will fuck you over
Attorney at a prestigious legal nonprofit (think ACLU level, but not ACLU).
Youre right desu
And its not like its really unethical either. These companies lie all the time and treat employees and candidates like dirt. You owe them nothing. Do whats best for yourself to get ahead
>must be applying for weird stuff
He could also be applying to very generic basic things like "CSR" with "remote" as the location and competing against like 500 other people.
