I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. That’s what it feels like. You should seek out a physical therapist or a doc immediately. Don’t strain it any further, do exercises that don’t cause it. Same problem The best you can do is take frequent micro breaks. Every 15 minutes, get up and stretch. Repetitive use injuries are really hard to manage once you've acquired them.
