There is more to this story than meets the eye. Even if he was just an average wrestler, he's still 6'8", paid all his dues in NJPW despite not having to, has stayed clean and would draw crowds at least in the indies with name recognition.
How was Curtis Axel able to get a WWE gig for so long? Ironically, it was his dad that supposedly laced Scott Hall's drink in the flight from he'll. Something doesn't add up. He's got way too many connections including at the very top of WWE.
