/deadlift/ general

deadlifts are the best. they make you feel good and fix your posture from listening to shoegaze or having poor self image

there seem to be two acceptable deadlift methods

1. the squat + RDL

2. the high hips version

the false prophet, the deceiver

leg press is worse for your back lmao

How much do I need to deadlift to raise the dead?

Just got 175 but failed lmao4pl8 because my supine hand gave way, I don’t want to use equipment, what excercises can I do to specifically target this?

1000 kilos

behind the back rack holds, farmers walks (heavy). Do you warm up overhand?

Someone tell me right now how to progress past 405lbs! Anything above that is glued to the floor. I almost got 425 off the floor today, but no luck. I have absolutely zero issue with grip, it's the initial movement that I suck at. If I can get, the first 4 inches, I can lock out no problem.

last time I used a leg pressed my back felt like absolute trash

possibly deficit pulls or practice floor speed with like 225 and get used to ripping it up. Also leg press.

Yeah, only my top two sets are mixed if I’m maxing out

Aww, I only got 100kg today.

then I'm surprised you're failing at that weight. Try some loaded one hand dead hangs

I should toss deficits back in I guess. I used to do them occasionally. Never thought of doing speed pulls (we conjugate now), but those sound fun. I'm a very slow and controlled lifter on everything, so hitting speed work could help as a novel stimulus. I'll do those as warmups and backoffs on my next deadlift day.

Use chalk, holds of your top sets for 5+ seconds

the usurper, the revolutionary

Recently found out I have a tear in my meniscus... can I still do DLs? Haven't met with the knee specialist yet and the GP wasn't helpful
