I need to lose as much weight as possible in 2.5 months (graduation + meeting family after 2 years). Is it okay to skip weightlifting since that is more of a long term investement? There will be a huge calorie defecit with IM fasting.
What should I do? I do not care about whats better for the future etc I just want to look as slim as possible in 2.5 months, yes after that itme I will start lifting a lot again.

I would recommend swapping out your lifting for cardio. Depending on how much you need to lose 2.5 months might not be enough.

Just do cardio 4 times a week, and lift minimal to maintain your muscle mass. Like do 4 sets of bench presses and other compunds you do once a week and so on, and skip isolation movements

If you lift while losing weight you will lose relatively more fat and less muscle which makes you look a lot better. Just train fullbody 2-3 times a week.
