How do kick the habit of non motivation. My diet is healthy but i find the gym so boring. I've gone many times and had success for 3-4 months but i just find it so boring it is unreal and eventually end up quitting. I feel like i'm torn between wanting to get fitter but also the prospect of being bored to tears again is keeping me away.
>but i find the gym so boring That's why I follow a strict training program. I know exactly what my goals are and I only have to realize them.

Stop focusing on motivation and instead focus on discipline. You think soldiers obey orders because they want to make their CO happy? No, they do it because they're disciplined to follow orders.
Your motivation will be high some days, some days it will be low, but your discipline will be rock solid, that is what will get you to the gym. Ultimately you will never ever regret doing a gym session, so just do it.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head there user. I think i'm stuck in the general "i want to loose a little weight/get fit" mentality but i don't have a solid set of steps to get there so the overall goal seems unattainable
How do i train discipline user? I'm currently doing a PhD and teaching at my university and i will admit i get home and mentally i'm exhausted and i dont seem to have the capacity to go to the gym/etc any tips would help
You could do other sports or activities if you dont enjoy lifting. Or if you dont like a particular exercise you could cut that out. Ultimately the most successful program for you is the one that youll stick to. For me i just couldnt stand conventional dls so i dropped them a couple years ago.

Watch ZEEZ brah before the gym and listen to hardstyle. Take a preworkout, take cialis, get a huge pump. These are some things I do.
I also do not allow myself to consume caffeine unless it's in a preworkout and I'm going to the gym. No easy way to get the pick me up without putting in the work, and I always feel so alive after the gym. It's a daily thing for me.

You need to go dead at night when it’s empty. It is so bliss and you’ll love it.

>I think you may have hit the nail on the head there user. I think i'm stuck in the general "i want to loose a little weight/get fit" mentality but i don't have a solid set of steps to get there so the overall goal seems unattainable You'll get fit (= strong) and lose fat by doing the Starting Strength program. It's a cookie cutter program, so all you have to do is follow it to the letter. The first 1-2 months is a breeze, but after that it becomes tough as nails. It trains both your strength and willpower. Squatting 5lbs more than your previous workout you had to grind out is brutal.
You probably need to find something else that's not weightlifting, that will help you reach your goals. Try climbing/bouldering maybe?

Not Tevvez or Zoomerstyle though. Classic hardstyle. Only watch old school style Zyzz vids. I found Zyzz in about 2012 and I don't really think zoomers "ruined" Zyzz content, good for them but it's not my cup of tea. youtu.be/84dvO_-6W3g
I'm still concerned about boredom at the gym though but maybe i do need some structure to it.

Any of you guys work jobs that travel? I do, and for the past two months I've been away from any gyms. I'm getting two weeks back home, and then a few more months away. How can I preserve what little gains I've made whilst I'm stuck in a hotel?

I became so much more disciplined when I took the home gym pill. I only have adjustable dumbbells + bench (so I might plateau earlier than a proper gym with barbells), but I'm far more consistent. >can workout shirtless >can listen to music through speakers >can grunt and groan as loud as I please >can dance around to music in between sets like a retard

bodyweight is probably your best bet. check out "start bodyweight" and try some of the harder variations.

Op, I recommend Brian Tracy. He has decades of lectures and books on self discipline, clearly defining your goals, building habits, etc. I'm a huge gymfag. I box. I love it and I have goals related to it. I recommend typing "Brian tracy" in the youtube search and just click on the lecture or audio books that are most pertinent. If you build the discipline and the that eventually you get to a point where you feel like ass if you miss the workout and can't wait to go back to the gym.

Funny I have the opposite problem where I want to exercise everyday and love it but I have no consistency or motivation to get a good diet.

This was me until recently. I just finally got feed up with foul shits an low energy so I changed my diet and I feel lovely

Aye it seems likem we are the opposite sides of the same coin. I have a pretty good diet and semi-recently i took up drinking a tonne more water and i feel a lot better for it.,
But i really am unsure what to do about lack of motivation etc
