Nah he wasnt. By the time WWF were doing huge numbers in 2000 with Rock and Triple H, Shawn was a distant memory. Most of the people who started watching in 98/99 never even saw him wrestle. WWF got way bigger after Shawn retired. It was seriously huge in 2000. Shawn was never part of anything like that as a wrestler. I was a big Shawn fan in 97 and 98 but that's just the way it is. Triple H became a much bigger star by the end of it all
