You shut down a gator's two attacks just by George Floyd-ing it's neck. You can just step on the top of the snout too, and then you only have to worry about the tail. Most deaths from these animals are because weaklings, children, and women get singled out. They've got a fair number of attacks, but they're just not that big. Even if they grab you, it's about the same weight as a small human. Just pick them up and slam them into the ground.
