OH NO NO NO
OH NO NO NO
>Hey Tony you should totally sign me. It'll boost us to the moon.
What a fool. If he could wrestle this whole time why didn't he have another legit WWE run in 2015 when the roster was thin with talent. He took so many years off and came back a shell of himself.
>Hey Tony I’ll definitely get you a milly while I feud with Matt Hardy again. Trust me. No I’m not ratings poison like Adam cope-
>What’s that? He’s in summerslam and had a kino entrance with a massive pop? Nah can’t be, must’ve been recorded in. Now I’m going to spam hangman memes.
>Future Hall of Famer? One of Tony Khans favorite wrestlers of all time? HOLY FUCK WERE GETTING THE ROCK! THE ROCK IS COMING TO AEW!!
Still makes me seethe how retarded wrestling fans are
>shell
Nah, he's as good as he's ever been. Booker of the Year ruined him like he does everything else.
>why did Vince bench someone more over than he wanted
Truly a mystery.
I HEAR THE E-DRONES CRRRRRYYY
Tony hyping that up got Revolution 2021 an insane number of PPV buys, so he did the right thing.
>Reddit spacing AEW tranny
Bro get a life, Tony is not gonna fuck you no matter how much you defend his honor online daily
Thank Moxley/Omega/Exploding Barbed Wire for drawing the house
>everyone who triggers me is the same person
AEW got their best ever ratings while Kenny and Christian were feuding - Booker of the year crushed their momentum by pushing dimeless geeks like Adam Cole and Hangman while CM Phil shat up the show every week.
Christian had nothing to do with ratings. I like the guy but he's never going to be that guy, although pretty much no one is these days. Unsurprisingly, AEW got pretty stale once more and more WWE guys came in. It really did seem like AEW wasn't going to be yet another WWE refugee centre but it has slowly creeped in more and more as time as went on. Look how many people who were with AEW in the beginning have either been dropped or been left to float around doing absolutely nothing just so someone like punk can come in and slop all over matches. In the beginning they were doing the right thing by having former WWE guys basically be enhancements who got a quick run but these days the upper card is more and more WWE guys.
what's the other 9?
>AEW got their best ever ratings while CM Punk finally returned after 7 years
Fixed
Christian was a genuine ratings draw until he was relegated to manager of the 5th-most-popular tag team in the company.
this
Christian had kino matches every other week
Does this sound like Christian of all people to you?
>“[Paul Wight] told the world, and it’s true, that there’s gonna be a big star signed with AEW, and he’s coming here...this Sunday a major star in the world of wrestling, a huge, huge star, is gonna come and sign a multi-year contract with AEW on Sunday at the pay-per-view. So I can confirm what Paul said is true. And I’m not talking about the person in the ladder match...Paul’s talking about a big surprise, and that’s no joke.”
yeah
he sure did
He is miles ahead of all the flippy self mark faggots in AEW.
The only genuine good signing they have made in 2021.
He had good matches but a lot of people were having great matches in AEW at the same time and there was a lot of noise around the company as a whole. I'm not saying Christian isn't a draw, I'm saying that so many people were doing good things then that I don't think one single person was pulling people in.
Christian has always been dimes and a megastar.
>cuckmatch
There were a lot of people that were looking forward to the Christian/Omega feud though. The retarded redditors that seethed about it because Hangman went on paternity leave were a loud minority.
Still remember the buzz about their first match on Rampage.
I must have missed when TNA did multiple millions of viewers while he was there.
I dunno, I seem to remember a lot more people being disappointed that the "big signing" turned out to be Christian. Everyone agreed he's great and absolutely a perfect fit for AEW but the general feeling was more "It's Christian, that's cool I guess"
Far bigger stars than Christian didn't draw shit in TNA.
All they achieved with Christian was having him beat Omega at a time where he looked unbeatable so when Hangman finally beat him it didn't feel as big because this old dude that just came out of retirement had beaten him already.
