FAQ:
> What do I need to start?
- To keep your hands and food away from your piehole
>Beginner's routine?
Start skipping either breakfast or dinner, track your weight daily with a set weigh-in time. If the progress slows, go from 16:8 to something like 20:4 (four hours to eat) or One Meal A Day (OMAD). GET ELECTROLYTES

>I'm a hamplanet that's new to fasting, can I just jump into 3day+ extended fasting?
-Only if you want to burn muscle mass and lean tissue because you aren't fat-adapted retard
>How can I get fat-adapted?
-Do 16:8 or more daily fasting for about 2 months or do keto for a similar length of time, you're undoing damage; most you'd want to do is OMAD or 48s at this early stage

> I want to do a longer fast, what do I need?
- Snake juice and peace
> What is snake juice?
- 1.5 tbsp salt, 1 tsp potassium chloride (nu-salt, no-salt), magnesium citrate/chloride (optional, check for epsom salts) to 2 liters of water
> I feel hungry!
- You shouldn't feel hungry after the first day, if you do and are new, try switching to keto macros and restarting the fast later

>Recommended macros?
- 70% fat, 25% protein, 5% carbs. Keep carbs below 50g total.
- P:E diet - 50% or more protein, I'm sub 12% and not moving
eat a small 400cal meal of proteins 3 hours before bed on your "full" day of the 48
>I'm gaining weight on OMAD
-You're FUCKING UP, weigh your meal components and record in cronometer (free). Add light cardio or standing or switch to OMEOD so you can continue to eat like fat pig.

wat? it doesnt take 2 months of keto to become fat adapted. more like a few days. this is kind of weird to have in the sticky

eating some protein before bed on my 48s has been a game changer.
I used to be all about autophagy maxxing when I was a lardass but now that I'm under 12% I literally can't sleep because of cortisol and epinepherine after 24 hours of fasting.

We've had it in the sticky for years but spergs started deleting and shitting their pants back in late january.

And no, it takes months to be fully fat adapted.
Sure you'll gen ketones a day into a fast as a normie, but only about half what you need.
Why do you think there's so many reddit videos about "OMG I fasted for FIFTEEN DAYS and LOST MUSCLE MASS!"?

103kg. Was already doen to 78kg but relapsed due to life circumstances taking a turn for the worse.

either OMAD or eating a large meal around 2pm and a very small meal around 8pm. Every now and then going 1 or 2 full days without food.
Do calisthenics 6 days a week, as well as cardio sessions at least two times a week.

>I have great results with what I'm doing. Let me ask /fast/ for permission to keep doing it

What is this mentality. Is the goal to LOST FAT, or is it to make /fast/ happy? Just keep doing what is making you shred that fat you double nigger

The longer I don't eat,
The more I look like a snack.

Wat means?

I keep getting lower back or kidney pain around 3 days fasted. Anyone knows what it is? I've had the snake juice. It goes away when I eat.

Even snekman has been saying that for months, for people who are leanish.

>losing 6 pounds a week for a month

When's the plateau supposed to kick in

check with calipers or tape measurements.
probably closer to 3lbs with the rest being water fluctuation.
If you were fat as hell, you can probably go on until about 25% bf, that's when things get more difficult.

if it was water weight I'd have lost it in the first week

Day 9 of a 10 day fast sleep has been horrible but I'm gonna break the fast tommorow with yogurt and banan.. I took a really weird shit today after not since like day 5 and it was all foul smelling water. Today's looked like mud and sunk to the bottom of the toilet.

So you were keeping measurements?

that's what I thought, but like a little over a month from when I started I dropped 8 lbs in a week.

why bother with measurements

Does apple cider vinegar break fast and autophagy

start of day 4 on snake juice. getting like "jolts" of pain, maybe 1 every 10 minutes, in my lower left back. not terrible but weird since it started literally just now that i laid down in bed. worked out today with weights and cardio and felt fine. never had these "jolts" before when i was eating everyday

Started 20/4 two weeks ago after a long time of 16:8
I now realize 16:8 is barely even fasting.
20/4 is the perfect split. I was constantly bloated, now I have no bloating at all
