Unironically not awful advice for normies.
>inb4 "they published the pyramid and everyone got fat following it!"
Nobody obese is remotely following this. This doesn't include highly processed foods full of sneed oils.

>people don't follow this at all and gobble down sugar and fat in mass
>"SEE, IT'S THE BREAD!"

It seems SUPER disingenuous to include fats in the same category as ‘sweets’. The fat consumed while eating an avocado or a steak is much better for you than a fucking candy bar.

Also
>bread
>6-11 servings

It was the 50's. People were starving!

unironically feel the best when i follow something like this. except i would put grains and veggies on the same bottom row

>The fat consumed while eating an avocado or a steak is much better for you than a fucking candy bar
true, but it's also pretty easy to overconsume on fat because of how calorie dense it is. One tablespoon of oil has like 120 kcal

Literally zero Americans followed it.

Also note how they explicitly say "use sugars and free oils sparingly"

It's almost like they were 3 decades ahead of the ketolards who decried corn syrup in the early 2010's and now demonize seed oils. It's hilarious, these people act as if they discovered the secrets to heaven but the government was saying this shit 40 years ago.

>be GOP
>be big government but pretend not to
>subsidize grains like hell so farmer states vote for us
>realize nobody would eat as much grains as we produce
>Literally rewite school books to unscientific food pyramids to get rid of grains
>create first cheap seed oils
>create dirt cheap HFCS
>people get fat because 3000 cal now cost $3
>tfw fat makes people dumb and vote me over and over despite I'm ruining their health

oatly would actually be good because oats contains B5, B6 and B12 and reduces stress hormones

Keto is not even remotely similar to the food pyramid. The government was not saying anything like it. The food pyramid is shit, and will cause diabetes in a large portion of the population.

Or you could take a B-Complex vitamin and get all of them.

Any Forums should create its own Food Pyramid, or otherwise food “shape” if necessary.

You are replying to a retard shill bot.

>The food pyramid is shit, and will cause diabetes in a large portion of the population.
Wrong.

Zoomers should shut the fuck up, people most definitely followed this shit, sometimes religiously. I know a girl that eats cereal multiple times a day because of this and because she's still relatively skinny she doesn't see anything wrong with her diet.

>people most definitely followed this shit, sometimes religiously
People think they do lots of things, when in reality they are deluded. I bet people think they ate the recommended 2,000-2,500 calories the government recommended. We know they didn't.

The government said "eat pasta". So what did people do? They "ate pasta" with tons of butter, oil, meat sauces, and cheeses.

The government said "eat bread". So what did people do? They "ate bread" with a load of butter or peanut utter on top.

People went out to the supermarkets and bought "low fat snacks". But "low fat" versions of typical snack foods are still loaded in fat.

Low fat milk is still loaded in fat. It's all a marketing gimmick.

And those were the small number of Americans who actually TRIED to follow the guildines.

Most Amerifats ate burgers, pizzas, potato chips, fries, soda, beacon, beacon cheeseburgers, pizza with hamberburger on it. You name it.

>Low fat/fat free
>It has high fructose corn syrup instead

>No high fructose corn syrup
>It is sweetened with regular corn syrup or sugar

>Sugar free
>Artificial sweeteners

>No artificial sweeteners
>Sweetened with sugar or corn syrup

I just assume all food available that isn't raw ingredients is bad for you.

How is there more than three servings of anything in a day?

Shut up and eat your 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice and pasta.
