I reached a one plate OHP
I reached a one plate OHP
Congrats bro
For reps?
Thank you!
Everyone feel free to post their gym achievements itt
I never tried to max out ohp, but i wanna reach 1/2/3/4 so one day i tried it and i just did it. Tbh i dont even know why is ohp considered a big lift.
Congrats. I'm going to hit 2pl8 dead tomorrow, need to deload my OHP back from 100 but I got the bar to rise for a few reps at least.
Very nice
Based!
This I can do 63kg for 1 rep
I've been doing 5/3/1 for 3 months.
Only my deadlift and OHP have been progressing very well, especially OHP.
My squat and bench press suck ass.
Stretch your ankles and shoulders more.
I had a lot of trouble with bench starting out because I didn't have a coach or trainer. Form is super important or you'll start fucking up your shoulders and you won't get proper muscle activation to increase strength.
Squat form is also important, but imo more for avoiding a trip to snap-city. You might be over-trained and need a deload if your squat soared at first, then form broke down, and now you're limping along with bad form.
I find that OHP is somewhat easy to cheat if you don't do strict form (aka the standing bench press). Great if you're improving rapidly with good form, but you might want a form check before you injure something ego-lifting. Same for deadlift: if your back isn't perfectly straight, it's time to deload and work on form.
tl;dr form is super important get your form checked for everything.
keep it up bro
I can squat 3 plates and bench 2 for 5.
OHP i can only do 125 and my DL is hard stuck at 350.
damn bro i'm the opposite
see
Gj, guy
What are your next set of goals?
2 plates ohp is the last thing keeping me from a 2/3/4/5. Last bench check was 305 but I should have it by now, based on working sets. 4 and 5 are long behind me.
But that damn OHP. Sticking point at 185. I’m 185 BW so at least that’s nice but still I want the round 2/3/4/5z
I was doing 1pl8 for 3x5 in November and then they stopped letting unvaxxed in the gym.
They opened back up in February and now I'm struggling to lift more than 50Kg.
To be fair, I did fucking nothing for the 3 months
OHPing your BW is still fucking insane. I have no idea how you guys get this strong. I seem to be stuck at 1/2/3/4
I reached 4 plate squat :)
Just been consistent with it for a while. Lifting regularly around 4x a week for probably 5 years now with a program that tracks progression.
On and off for 5 before that without a program (show up and randomly lift).
I’m also a 6.5inch wristlet so the bone structure doesn’t help anything. 5’11”
good job OP, im about there too, my next goal is 80kg, for reps
just deadlifted 315, v happy
Cause its so dependent on strength of your whole upper body.
