The most realistic % of bodyfat long term

Ok, let's be honest.

What's the ideal % of bf from a practical point of view.

10-12% is totally not realistic, unless you're literally cutting every day, which is not a realistic long term thing, since you basically need to make bodybuilding your lifestyle.

I'm guessing 15% to be a more practical goal, but basically still requires a strict regiment diet, but seems to be also a no fun kind of tier long term.

So Which is the ideal zone long term wise that doesnt happen to be autistic Any Forums lyfestyle mode?

depends how you define an autistic lifestyle. Some people are absolutely fine with eating a set calorie amount every day so for them 12% is fine. 15% is easy you basically don't have to even think about calories. The answer is probably somewhere around 13-14% for most people

I'm talking lon term.

I basically stopped fit autism after 2-3 years of doing it.

Eventually you'll also quit.

I don't think I will because I have actual autism. But if fitness is at the center of someone's life it is natural that they'd automatically be counting calories etc. If it is just one aspect of their life they'd be more likely to be more relaxed. I don't think there's one answer for everyone.

yeah, but I just dont want to become this fit shit into my center of attention.

I just want to not be a fucking slob, but also dont want to go into full buy products go the gym autism.

If you want to know the bf% that you'll likely be maintaining whilst not paying any attention to calories etc you will end up with the bf% of the average person who also does the same regardless of whether you go to the gym. Going to the gym (resistance training) burns little calories so it wouldn't differentiate you much from the average person other than that you'll have a higher maintenance calories

Well, is a more practical thing.

I think muscle + 18-20% of fat to be more appealing than twink low fat mode.
I think is also easier to mantain and healthier.

And I think women also like it more.

18-20% is quite a lot of body fat. It can look shitty unless you have good distro. 20% would be easy to maintain without a single thought about what you're eating

well, I think 18% to be a good compromise for that bulky beerdad mode.

beardad *

Yeah that body would be easy. Just think about the type of person that usually has that body. Does a dad count calories, minimize alcohol etc? No. If that's how you want to live then that's how you'll end up. I personally have awful fat distro so could never go for 18%, if you can pull it off why not.

Well, I mean, I think they look stronger and are like more realistic than body builders.

Like the body of that chink next to bruce lee in some movie I see being screenshotted here.

> I lacked discipline and quit
> You will too

Not all of us are American slobs that can't commit to anything beyond what flavor of Pringles to eat next

Long term wise is not a good sustainable strategy.

Are you a manlet/obese? Maintenance for 12% is 2000+ calories for most not including exercise

Around 15% is good. Going above is sometimes called for but it’s not for everyone. There are guys at 20% who look good. I find performance takes a real dip when I go below 12% ish

I'm 5"7

How do I even measure Body fat percentage when the calculator doesn’t take into account your lean mass?

I dropped a pant size and my shirts are looser at the belly and tighter at the chest shoulders and arms.

Went from 96kg to 85kg, but while stuck at 82/83 was when this happened (the volume loss I talked about). Caloric intake is BME and I train everyday: KB and bands mostly, cardio and some resistance with weights.

Now, with 180cm the calculator says I have 25%. Pretty sure I’m a little below that.

Not totally a manlet.

10-15% is perfectly obtainable and sustainable if you don't eat like complete shit.

...

15% is good, but still requires being actively aware through diet or working out a significant amount of time. For a non serious person 18% is good enough. depends on muscle mass really for higher body fat % for a very non serious gym goer and doesn't want to look at diet all that much 16% which I am at currently not doing very much cardio other than bike, lifting 3-4 days a week and not caring about diet.

15% should take you almost zero effort to maintain if you don't eat garbage every single day. It might take effort to get there if you aren't currently that lean though.

You can easily be 15% bf while feeling satiated and full all of the time.

Guys who feel good above like 17% BF are always fat dudes who are severely addicted to food/alchool

I've oscillated between 10-15% for the past 20 years, and am currently at about 12%. 10-12 id totally realistic if you do consistent cardio and nutrition.

They say you only live off 1/4 of your caloric intake, and I used to think this was a meme. Having done intermittent fasting for many years, I've come to realize that your body needs very little, and you can be shredded a lot of the time like those pics of hard working dudes in 3rd world countries.

The only downside is that it slows gainz considerably, so you have to be in it for the long haul, and you'll never be huge. That said, your body responds to caloric stress by becoming more resilient (assuming you're eating healthy otherwise). I could do 10,000 pushups today if I chose to, or run a marathon. Don't underestimate what's possible when you put your mind to it.

dude, I dont give a shit about competing in olimpia.

>dude, you can look good if you make this your main lifestyle
no

I'm getting confused by you. You want to look good but you don't want to put in any effort. American mindset

I already put effort into other shit I care more about.

then why should you expect to look good? I expect to be a millionaire but I don't want to put in the effort and work

That's not what I asked.

Your health is the most important thing you should care about. Not saying you gotta look like Arnie, but you need to be conscious about your health and not be a stick in the mud. Not caring about health is fucking gay and shows your immaturity.
