Name one thing wrong with doing a bro split
Name one thing wrong with doing a bro split
long time between workouts for a particular muscle
anonymous incels will laugh at you
kek
Is that a bad thing if you have been lifting for a while?
I do bro-split. It's been 1 and half month since I started going to the gym. Let's see
less frequency/muscle
Hitting every muscle twice a week is shown to be better than once a week
Source? My understanding is that frequency is a tool to facilitate more training ingredients volume, which is the main driver. Eg doing a bro split where you do 10 hard sets of chest once a week will be better than Ss where you do on average 4.5 sets per week. Obviously pplpplx or ulxul could be better if you do it right. That being said, while bro splits are better for people on gear you can get pretty jacked on a bro split as a natty (anecdotal). Routine matters less than volume, diet, and consistency.
>source: wont let me copy paste url on my phone fuck its The New Approach To Training Volume stronger by science.
Might be newer stuff out there and I'd be happy to hear it. Higher frequency would also minimize the risk of junk volume too
I need a gf that looks like this
it reminds me I am alone and have no bros
don't we all
You need roids for it to work. Do Arnold's Golden Six instead.
Frequency also signals muscle protein synthesis which normally stops a few days post workout for natties, but remains elevated for those on steroids until they cycle off. Frequency also let's you practice technique if the goal is being a power/strongman/or oly lifter. There's diminishing returns for muscle and strength gains though. 3x a week isn't much better than 2x. 4x is barely any different from 3.
Personally, I like to train compounds twice a week but just pick one or two muscle groups to isolate beyond that.
Ex: Leg1
Squats (top set and back offs)
Deadlift variant (straight sets)
Hamstrings and calves
Leg 2
Deadlift (top set and back offs)
Squat variant (straight sets)
Quads and abs
Bro splits get you over the max gains per workout threshold with 0 brain cells reguired but they also usually tend to have fuckloads of junk volume by end of workout, which does little to nothing for your gains other than extra fatigue to recover. Meaning training the muscle with twice the frequency gets you better gains usually, because at higher set counts there is less junk volume. I know there is that study about if all volume is equal then it doesn't matter but IIRC the set counts where fairly low for the 2+ times frequency guys. Someone doing more than once a week can easily do much more volume per muscle.
It’s not a bro split it’s a pro split
It’s the same shit.
A ppl tard would OHP and call it a day for her shoulders. A chad brosplitter would target delts multiple times per sesh. The ppl tard says he worked out his shoulders twice a week but the brosplitter targeted them with twice the intensity.
Yeah user I'd really hate for my muscles to have a proper recovery after I absolutely blasted them on a given day. Besides no muscles are used purely in isolation...your arms for example are still working on chest day and back day.
When my schedule permits, I basically do a bro split with one full body day thrown in. PPL for me is the worst of all worlds...not enough recovery on one hand, not really pushing it on certain body parts on the other. But do whatever works for you. Every routine you can name has both its supporters and its detractors.
> OHP only and call it a day.
Nice strawman faggot powershitter, its the Powershitters that use one heavy compound per day cuz they don't know programming.
PPL will have at least 2-3 exercises per muscle group and will have exercises that target similar area on the same day but maybe that's too much for a brainlet like you to understand!?!?!?
>twice the intensity
just junk volume.
If you get fucking tired from lifting weights on the bar/back on the spot for weights and say they are being worked, fuck you DYEL. You are retarded beyond help, most people will only count work as where you are basically getting a pump, gone near failure or exhausted your energy from the exercise, otherwise its not "Work" you need to rest from to repair damage to joints etc, just recover your system through a night's rest to build up muscle etc since muscle builds in 1 night, joints etc recover in 2-3 days.
Junk volume is a meme
Poorly executed form of exercise is junk volume and will only fuck up your joints and mobility.
>If you get fucking tired from lifting weights on the bar/back on the spot for weights and say they are being worked
Did anyone say this you fucking retard?
You tend to do more trash volume while on a bro split compared to a routine like ppl. It isn't bad on itself, top bodybuilders still use a brosplit
Lol no people have been getting jacked and strong since cavmen and they didn’t use le properly executed lifts
>You are retarded beyond help, most people will only count work as where you are basically getting a pump, gone near failure or exhausted your energy from the exercise, otherwise its not "Work"
And under which scenario do you think that's more likely to take place you fucking brainlet? If you're doing, say, chest and shoulders on separate, well spaced out days on a bro split? Or combining them both into a nebulous "push" day where you're forced to half-ass one or both of them to accommodate the other?
