If I am just going for aesthetics, could I replace most of my back work with heavy kettlebell swings?
If I am just going for aesthetics, could I replace most of my back work with heavy kettlebell swings?
no
no lol. just lol. pull ups and heavy db rows are rank 1 and 2 for best aesthetic building exercises
Why can't KB swings replace the rows? It covers the entire plane of motion, minus what pull ups do.
kb swings are a swinging deadlift, you can use kbs for rows but just doing swings isnt going to hit your back much other than keeping it straight
Heavy Kettlebell swings can replace deadlifts (which are a meme for aesthetics anyways) but you need to train upper-back pulling motions directly with rows, chins, pull ups, etc.
Well I'm going to do it anyway. How does that make you feel?
I like doing a lot of dumbbell versions of back lifts with kettlebells. Something about the way the kinetics change. Really good for deficit work while standing on something too.
Well there you go
never seen a guy bodybuild using kettlebells
good, it's still a great exercise
the offset weight challenges everything more than dumbbells
uh excuse me
kbs have incredible results
>behold
how could you make this collage and not feel like a complete fucking retard, all these niggas look the exact same lmao
because the kb enthusiast shit is like a low level cult, they show near complete blindness to reality if its not favorable to the views they already have
just look at the r/kettlebell subreddit, loads of weak and dyel people, completely unaware.
they only have a couple strong/muscular people and even then they arent really remarkably strong or big
>inb4 reddit
band pullaparts are godly imo
to be fairrrrr, some of those guys are putting up pretty good kb sport numbers
I wouldn't recommend it as a training modality for physique and only with serious caveats would I recommend it as a training method for some other sport, but something like master of sport with 28kgs is a legit accomplishment in and of itself
(or at least as legit of an accomplishment as anything else you might do in the gym)
I love my kettlebell workouts, but one just has to be realistic about goals. Kettlebells are not an efficient body-building tool, but a great exercise tool, so you just have to go in with the knowledge of what is and isn't likely to happen. Having said that, aesthetics aside, heavy kettlebell swings are fantastic, especially if you don't do any other cardio or strength-endurance work, and you never know, you might see gains where you didn't expect, like in your forearms and glutes.
Also, putting the same person in slightly different lighting and calling it progress is staple of all bullshit health and fitness programs; this is just such an amazing example you could almost mistake it for parody.
for sure as far as ops question, medium weight high rep swings as well as heavy swings can replace all hinge stuff for aesthetics, not for back tho, some upper body pulling has to be done
i did the 10k swings in january and have been meaning to write a review for reddit
>inb4 leddit
my conclusion is that it being "tough" is a joke, it was more tedious than anything, i feel like i shouldve done it with the 48kg to actually get some muscle gain
that being said i did see glute gains, and some cardio gains, but thats it, nothing else as far as i can tell
I'm pretty sure it is parody, fwiw, I looked for it on Pat's site at one point and I didn't see it
Quit lifting now, you’re truly retarded and don’t even deserve gains. Not that you’ll make any swinging a ball around like a tranny
actually i screengrabbed that directly from his website a few months ago
