Fall that high, you aren't supposed to take the impact flat on your back. That works for short falls, not for longer ones. For falls that high, you want to land on your feet, but do a controlled crumple, almost into a roll, so redirect the energy of the fall as much as possible. Same way you land while parachuting. The problem is, if you fuck it up, you will destroy something, your knees, your ass, your back. You have to know how to do it right and make it pretty much muscle memory. That's why paratroopers have to train so extensively, because they are hitting the earth at 20+ MPH. If you don't crumple right, you will fuck yourself right up.
