What's the real reason wrestling lost millions of it's viewers and died

Nobody under 50 owns a television
Vince
It started on August 23, 1999
Most of the pro wrestling fans were in 9/11 when the planes hit. Up to like 1 million causalities if I remember correctly
Unironically probably WWE going PG
It's hard to present a program based around two meatheads beating the shit out of each other when you have to be pg and follow a thousand guidelines
The viewer situation probably isn't that bad either considering how many streaming services are available nowadays
can't they still watch by other means?
How does that explain wrestling losing massive popularity in Japan as well? Wrestling was a part of pop culture in Japan during the 80's and 90's for example. But over the last 20 years the viewership has declined badly.
The death of WCW and Austin turning heel.
Blame an entire generation of weak, feminized men raised on social media and liberal arts college professors who have been brainwashed to hate wrestling because it's 'misogynist', 'sexist', 'violent', and 'problematic'.
Coz it's fake if you want to watch fighting watch mma so all the fight sport fans change to watching that
Wrestling is fucking gay by comparison despite mma mainly being guys hugging on the ground
WCW dying and letting Vince monopolize wrestling. now it's pozzed as fuck like any other form of media and can't compete with the hundreds other things people can do to entertain themselves
They ran out of interesting ideas. It peaked and declined as all long-running shows do. Simple as.
There are far better fiction alternatives
>MMA
>real
Phil proved it to be real he would never allow himself to get embarrassed the way he did
john cena
Why wouldn't he? It was a hit to make pro wrestlers look bad, after then being so dominant for so many years. It was ridiculous how many pro wrestlers were going into MMA, so they needed someone like Punk who would allow himself to be used for those purposes.
the only thing Phil proved was how fake he was. MMA makes it's money off the same illusion that it's real but in real fights you don't have all those rules to protect you I don't watch MMA or wrestling because "it's real" I watch it because I just want to see people get fucked up
The Attitude Era killed wrestling.
New day getting too much screen time drove off anyone who didn't love gay niggers dancing
Well that's why I watch aew for the constant botching
The stratification of entertainment. Very few things are "mainstream" like things used to be mainstream anymore.
WWE's gay over branding. Everyone I know stopped watching back when they started using WWE Universe and they made HIAC and MITB their own PPVs every year. Nothing exciting anymore.
