AEW: Fight Forever Video Game Making Major Progress

Fightful recently spoke with Kenny Omega about the game’s current progress. He said there is still plenty of work to do, but Yukes is working at a very strong pace. Omega could not confidently confirm it, but he hopes the game still meets its target release date before the end of the year.

>“It’s really cool to see some of the stuff that we were worried might get left on the cutting room floor is now getting implemented, so it was a challenge to attempt to make a brand new wrestling game from the ground up during the Covid era – was very challenging and it got to the point where it seemed bleak like maybe we would never release this thing, but we kind of got past that."
>"We hopefully can be on schedule to make sure that we get this came out by this year hopefully, fingers crossed.”

Put it on your Christmas list E-drones.

who the fuck thought it was a good idea letting Kenny Omega make a game? what are his credentials?

>"We hopefully can be on schedule to make sure that we get this came out by this year hopefully, fingers crossed.”
will we see it by the end of 2023?

I thought it was coming out in September

>it seemed bleak like maybe we would never release this thing, but we kind of got past that

kek

I heard the single player mode is being directed by hideo kojima now

None. Just like any other IP holder overseer in any other licensed game. He's not "making" the game and his involvement isn't an uncommon thing at all.

He's a weeb faggot, that's his credentials

they should've gone for a switch exclusive, it's easier to develop for it and it's fans don't expect much

this legit sounds like an indie game dev blog post. what kind of real game takes this long to get a gameplay trailer, if it isn’t some giga AAA title?

this game feels like it could be a nail in the coffin. it HAS to be very good. If not, casuals will never give a shit ever.

>brand new wrestling game from the ground up during the Covid era
cope

You guys sure love hyperbole.
An "AAA" wrestling game?
"Their first game must be above average or they've failed forever".

LMAO you think they're getting a second one?

>There's still work to do
Doesn't this game come out in September?

>Audience full of gamers
>Shit game
this would be a disaster

fucking KNACK got a sequel

Yeah the game will be ready this year just like Kenny was ready to return back in February

They should've said from the very first announcement there would be no character creator. That shit takes up a huge amount of effort to get right and even WWE's only got decent like 10 games in. That alone would already tamper expectations and they could carrot in a string it saying they'd add CAWs on a sequel if this does well.

WWF In Your House

Not him, but you're comparing a gaming environment of the mid 1990s to one of the early 2020s.
