Should've made the game edgy too, not super edgy but like 00s edgy, this wouldn't save the game or anything but it would help it if it's good.

Every good sonic game is basically the same tone-wise, he goes fast, clowns on people and saves animals. when people hear a sonic game is good I think that's happening is they're hearing a sonic game is back to where it was already so even the game being good isn't a big deal because it's not interesting.

Embracing the era sonic is from would at least be interesting. You could say shadow was that but shadow is his own character.
