I don't even want HL3. HL2 was mediocre and I don't like the direction they took with it. Alyx is lame and the leaked script Laidlaw wrote sounds like ass. I just want another HL like HL1. At least I have Black Mesa and mods.

Played them all and like them all. especially Opposing Force. Can't think of many other games that had expansions/DLC from a different character's perspective either, it's a fun concept.Some Mega Man games do something similar but I can't think of any others.
I'd be happy with an Opposing Force 2 in the style of HL1, plus I want to know what happened to Shepard.

Funny, because I didn't much care for OF. Felt very janky, kitchen-sink design. I can see why it was popular for multiplayer though. I only enjoyed Blue Shift because it was basically more of the same and it was short.
If you've every played the original Jedi Knight, it had an expansion called Mysteries of the Sith where you mostly played as Mara Jade while she trained under Kyle Katarn.

Hype is not exclusive to marketing, almost 2 decades of fans asking "where's HL3?" and all the math and prediction meme shit has taken it's toll, HL3 will never live up to the expectations of the people who have been waiting for it, they're expecting some revolutionary shit when the entire video game industry is teetering on the edge of crashing.
