We really are gonna be stuck with this iphone 7 tier switch hardware forever.

If only devs would take the hint to optimize their games now.
I wonder what those 11 people in Japan doing who still own a PS4.
>2ds keeps selling
How much stock they have left?
Seeing how many games where still announced for the PS4 and considering that PS4 games are dirt cheap it doesn't surprise me to see people getting one.
I used to do that to, waited until the PS4 was out to buy a PS3 because my PS2 was still doing great.
Proof that gameplay is all that matters in the end.
Well that sucks, also since there wasn't a good game needing high specs in years it also doesn't matter
Japanese will just buy Steam Decks for anything Switch can't run
But Splatoon isn't a good game.
Maybe more people would buy PS5s if they had the damn things in stock more often
It is a solid game that has a fanbase. You just dont like it. I do not like it, but I have to admit that it sells.
Or if it had any games.
Ps5 store looks like the steam shovel ware pit filled with trophy bait and babbys first coomoge
I know quality game design. Splatoon has never demonstrated it.
>Gameplay
Portability. Japanese are maybe 4 hours a day at home, and spend an absurd amount of time commuting.
Why buy a home console that you'll barely have time to use with a 32" FHD tv because you have no room for anything bigger in your tiny apartment, when you can use a Switch on the train?
Mobile technology has come a long way, Nintendo just needs to get off their ass and release a new console that can make use of the fact that new phones are more than twice as powerful than the Switch.
cope.
The switch is powerful enough. If you have a problem with it, that's on you and your retarded sense of superiority in playing with toys.
Fucking consoooomer.
Buying games. Something that PS5 owners aren't doing.
we're never entering the next gen.
>Ports of PS4 and even PS2 games being announced as cloud only because they can't run otherwise
>Powerful enough
>making shit up
>nintendo should please ME instead of a whole country where splatoon is successful
Nah, you dont know a shit
Gen 9 is already looking underpowered and we're barely two years into it. PS5 and XSX running games on the equivalent of medium settings of the PC version, and many times at 1440p just to be able to output 60fps.
That explains why vita was a huge hit, right?
Why make the Switch more powerful? Developers will always make games that aren't optimized or beyond the scope of the console no matter how powerful it is.
Even the PS4 struggled with Bloodborne with FPS dipping down to 12 to 15.
Most of the issues are about optimization. Chrono Cross on the Switch has slowdown while other later gen more graphically intensive games do not.
The vast majority of gamers just want to play fun and engaging games. No one complains about the slowdown and sprite flickering on the NES like with Mega Man. More power does not mean better games or that developers will even properly optimize their games to use said power. Even the powerful 4 to 6 hundred dollar Deck only reliably achieves 30 fps.
The PS5 and XbsX is doing absolutely nothing with all that power. Who cares?
Meh who cares. IMO PS3 graphics were good enough for video games. Now teams have become far too massive for their own good and they can't take any risks anymore because of that. Next gen should be reserved for something that actually changes gaming more than just upgraded gfx.
No, it explains why the DS and 3DS were huge hits. The Vita failed because the competition was better.
Everything has a saturation point.
Blame Sony for abandoning Japan.
Japanese buy the switch because it’s in stock and they’re literally always at work and on the train. The switch is perfect for Asians.
>it's a solid game
The fanbase has to prove that. They can start by not spamming porn threads, or obsessing over sales, or claiming that popularity makes their game good.
Since they refuse to do any of these, this instantly condemns Splatoon as a bad game.
It's just an Arm chip. So backward and forward scalability shouldn't be hard.
splatoon is a demonstration of excellent game design, pretty much everything about it feeds into the core of covering turf and swimming through said turf. Where splatoon falls short is its networking infrastructure (there basically isn't any - it's 95% peer-to-peer) which severely lets it down. The actual gameplay is ingenious.
Nintendo consoles have always appealed to Japanese normalfags. They even made fun of it for this in the 90s. It's for kids and boring people.
lmaooo
Prove why it's a bad game.
Is a good thing desu, the longer the switch last the less reason to upgrade my pc
>splatoon is an excellent game
>which is why the fans hate playign the game, and hate discussing it
>pls ignore that every thread is a porn dump or console wars
A game that cannot encourage a good fandom is a bad game by design.
Have you looked at how much phones are? You may not notice since you get your phone for free with a plan or at a discount, but most good quality phones are 800 to 1600.
If even the Steam Deck can't achieve guaranteed 60 fps at 400 to 600 while still being sold close to a loss what makes you think Nintendo can?
They probably could if they made a $700 machine that still sold at a loss, but that would be a death sentence for sales.
