user, you're an idiot zoomer who grew up with them. Having to go from FF12 to 13, from Resi 4 to 5, from MGS3 to 4 and DMC3 to 4 was about a huge a downgrade as one could get. On top of that both Nintendo consoles were made to force you into using gimmick controls that were unfun and unfit for about 9% of games. And that's without the fact that every big franchise had to either be a shooter game or turned into some stupid online multiplayer "experience". On the off chance a great game would come out, you'd have to make a prayer before turning on your PS3/360 so that it wouldn't magically fail. The PS4 gen by comparison, though obviously not 6th gen in terms of quantity, definitely got there on quality. NieR Automata, Resi , DQ XI, etc. are all fantastic games, some of the best in their respective franchises, and only a complete idiot Any Forumstard contrarian would disagree.
