Im tired of this thing, why wont it die already?

Im tired of this thing, why wont it die already?
The graphics are starting to look laughable and most demanding titles get a "cloud" version, if even that.

>graphics
you graphic fags have lost. The switch is on track to outsell the PS2 in half the time. I wish you grafixxx fags would learn that 4K rock and tree textures mean nothing when the game is shit.

Hyper realistic graphics are soulless as fuck. and so are most games that have them. People are tired of it. What you should complain about is low frame rate,

This. Games like stardew valley are 10x better than shit like tranimal crossdressing

portability is literally all that matters
snoy deserves to go bankrupt for killing the vita and xperia play

The fact that it can't even run the modern RE games, which have some of the best optimized engine this gen is seriously worrying. Even the Series S runs RE Village in 1440p and at a locked 60 and the Switch has to stream the game?

>starting

no one is talking about hyper realistic graphics. Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade 3 are 30 fps and a pixelated mess, so clearly it can't handle simplistic and stylized graphics properly either.

personally I think it’s the fault of the developers and publishers if they resort to cloud versions. I’m pretty sure capcom has enough tech wizards to be able to crunch RE8 onto the switch.

>The graphics are starting to look laughable
What? We're HD and any game that looks garbage is the fault of the developer for not having a coherent artstyle. The Wii hasn't been relevant since 2010, user.

Blame shitty devs. Doom 2016 runs fine on the switch.

>and the Switch has to stream the game?
Show me where the Switch "has" to stream any game? It just seems like a piss poor attempt at developers removing ownership as has been the case ever since the war on pre-owned shit started.
It seems more like 3rd parties want to get a piece of the Shitch pie without actually developing for it, so they take the easy route of not making an actual port.

HD is 1080p. Very few of the slightly more demanding Switch games run at 1080p. Their flagship titles run and look embarassingly bad. Case in point: Breath of the Wild. It's a shame that the sequel is going to be limited by the same garbage hardware.

Doom Eternal even runs fine, though it's obviously quite downgraded it was still pretty enjoyable.

>BoTW looks terrible
>Universally praised for it's graphics and art style
>Copied by every developer since
You sound like a complete retard.

They're obviously going to replace it by holiday 2023. Sales are finally starting to drop and the leaked hardware from the Nvidia hack makes sense as a holiday 2023 device. Also explains why they skipped E3 and showed almost nothing (first party wise) in the fall direct.

Limitations are a good thing, though - they force developers to be creative and design more interesting games.
Devs who have access to all the tech resources in the world make games that look pretty but are instantly forgotten because of their mediocre gameplay.
Meanwhile there are entire communities of people dedicated to bringing Nintendo games to PC despite the many headaches this entails purely because they have superior gameplay.

It will be May, along with BoTW2. Almost a foregone conclusion at this point.

The complaints about graphics are because the games look blurry to shit and not because of pixel games or whatever. I legit had to go to the optometrist when I first played breath of the wild because I thought my eyes were going bad.

oink oink oink eric

I'm sure it's just capcom wanting the games on the switch without having to port them user
NIntendo seems to be investing in trying out cloud stuff though so they probably just took the opportunity to test the tech with games that people would actually try to play
that's my guess at least

If your primary concern in gaming is "Muh graphics", you're not much of a gamer. Hell most of the great games would run a toaster. I recommend Strikers 1945 or Dragon Blaze.

Nintendo really want to outsell the PS2.

Get a PC then.

>It will be May, along with BoTW2. Almost a foregone conclusion at this point.
I know most people think they will launch it with BotW 2 but I don't think so. BotW 2 is being made for the switch, even if they run it at a higher resolution it's still gonna look like an ugly ass switch games with low res textures, bad lighting, etc. I think it makes more sense to launch it in the next holidays with the next 3D Mario game and then just add an optional res increase patch for BotW 2.

>Shitch
Sup eric

Are you fags really stupid enough to think Nintendo is going to replace the Switch soon after releasing one of their biggest multiplayer games yet and extending the life of another one?
They want it to last till 2024.

Did everyone clap?

if there's no dlss switch next year I'll just move on, xenoblade 3 got completely ruined for me by the shithouse hardware, this is a game that should have been awe inspiring because of the scale and topography of its world but instead the only thing I could think of was how fucking garbage the IQ, geometry and textures were

It wasn't in lowercase so it isn't Eric

Nintendo always does what most people think they won't.

BoTW was made for the WiiU. What's your point?

Any and all “Cloud” versions are the fault of the devs and them blatantly spitting in your face. The fact that Bethesda of all studios can get a competent port for their games means any studio should be able to with relative ease. But where’s the easy money in doing a real port?

>BotW 2 is being made for the switch
spoilers: every first party nintendo game releasing in the next 3 years at least will be developed with the base switch as its target hardware

look what's happening with next gen consoles where every new game gets a ps4 version, nintendo aren't going to abandon the 120 million switch install base to start selling their games on a system that'll struggle to sell massively because of the various current economical and industrial circumstances

If it’s backwards compatible? Yes.

i love it, less demanding graphics means faster dev times and lower budgets, lower budgets means riskier games

No, I indeed got new glasses. But, the game still looked like shit after.

Lol.

Most games will run on a 1060 equivalent for the next 5 years. I envy waitfags. They won.
