I decided to fire up AssCreed Black Faggot 360 again because the game is so damn good and I never finished it and I saw there's a Ubi sale right now and remastered BF is super cheap. I haven’t played any AC games since BF but I know more recent ones have been shit. However, they had a sale for about $15 I got BF, Unity, and Syndicate remastered so I bought them. Looking through release dates, I realize the bundle left out Rogue after I had already bought it. I guess I got it for free on the 360 though at some point, but I’m debating spending $8 dolloredoos on the remastered version since remastered BF vs 360 is a huge improvement.
So how is Rogue? I’m trying to find some decent reviews online, but there all pure shill lists with BF somewhere at #6 or #7 below the most recent games and le sexy Italian man’s first game at the top of every list (don’t get me wrong, AC2 was awesome, but BF blows it out of the water on all fronts). I know some of you guys hate the series overall, but I’m beyond asking if I should get into the series, I just want to know honestly will I regret buying remastered Rogue or should I force myself to play it as a janky 360 game?
DO NOT say skip it. I literally will not ever play a game without playing all of them chronologically. It’s why I still haven’t played any of the Witcher games because 1 is impossible to find on xbox or any wasteland games because 1 is complete ass.
It's Black Flag but shorter and with pine trees and snow instead of palm trees. The characters are nowhere near as likeable as BF's but you do get to play as a Templar which is cool. You should like it if you enjoy BF. Don't know a thing about the remaster so can't help you there.

Oops you’re right. It’s just the Sexbox 1 version vs. the 360 I already had. I didn’t realize Rogue was never released on Xbox 1 so Rogue is a true remaster and BF is just “next” gen. It is much better looking than 360 though. Guess I just shilled it accidentally, but I don’t give a fuck because it’s a great game I did not mind buying twice. I won’t be buying the new ones though.

I am Greek so I am biased. Yes the 'history' is all over the place. But it's the only AAA immersive Ancient Greece experience out there and the combat is fun. The sailing is hype too, I guess the same as BF. I also play with Kassandra. It's mega inclusive and women mercenaries are silly if you think too much about it but you have some choices at times (refuse to hire women and lesbians as your ship crew, kill scum that do NPC atrocities, of let wolves eat them, etc.)

It’s punished injun inawoods fuck whitey simulator that takes extreme liberties with climbing parkour because 3ft tall trees, berry bushes, and log cabins made a shitty landscape. this shit, along with them cutting the animus control panel that allowed you to customize settings in origins leaves me to believe they might start doing this sort of shit in all their games to try and encourage people to buy the games and their DLC when they're new at higher prices rather than much later when they are discounted heavily.
The suits at ubisoft have always been on the cutting edge of being fucking diabolical in how they treat their customers, and so heavy handed meddling in the design of games and min/maxing as hard as they can with the budget, it's insane. If all the games were just dogshit I wouldn't have to really care but there's some real talent in the studios and you can tell people really care about the games, but then there's such an equal amount of shit you can tell was rushed because it wasn't deemed important, or merely put into the game for marketing purposes with very little thought or effort put into the design.

>How was Odyssey? The historical changes are generally minimal, and you'll honestly only see anything if you dig around for specific things. The thing that I've seen turned most people off of Origins and Odyssey and Valhalla is the greater and greater decrease in actual Assassin gameplay. for Odyssey there's still a few points where you can pretend you're an assassin, but it's really much more geared to just running in and hitting people.
