what dq game is this?
It's the same game over and over and people somehow still keep playing them despite knowing that.

I don't know what the appeal of DQ is supposed to be.
Surely not the gameplay because it's just pressing attack over and over again while watching numbers grow.
Surely not the story, because it's as generic as it gets, and whenever someone dares to criticize it, fans defend it vehemently that is supposed to be shit.
Maybe it's the graphics but they aren't enough to make up for the lacking gameplay and story.
Imagine a JPRG with no story and shit gameplay. And that is Dragon Quest, the most popular series is Japan. Those nips are fucked in the head.
>Surely not the gameplay because it's just pressing attack over and over again
You retard
Says the dude who plays an RPG series where the gameplay is literally pressing attack over and over, and I'm not even exaggerating in the slightest.
You are a genuine pathetic retard
I've never understood the appeal of dragon quest until I actually started playing it myself. It's just comfy and somewhat nostalgic. I grew up with NES JRPGs, Dragonball (same artstyle), Dragon Quest Dai (manga), etc.
At first I thought Dragon Quest looked boring, but as soon as I started playing I just felt... at home.
Also here in Japan there's Dragon Quest everywhere, even normal daytime TV shows have DQ music playing in the background and references to DQ subculture. It's a pretty huge cultural phenomenon.
is it good?
It's pretty much the same as the online version but instead of being a sweaty MMO you have to play with other people, it's structured more like a normal dragon quest game. There's still some MMO-like mechanics (sidequest style, fake marketplace, job changes, etc) but it's much tighter than the MMO counterpart in my opinion.
They also added a proper license board skill system which the MMO lacks and you can reskill/respec whenever you want if you want to try different classes and setups.
can you create characters like in DQ9 ?
You can create your character and your little brother/sister but the other characters that join your party are pre-made. Although I haven't gotten to that part yet myself.
most games are derivative of other ones with slight alterations.
a comfy game with good music and easy but slightly challenging gameplay is what 80% people want.
Cope harder. Your favorite series is certified shit.
Dude, the only one coping is you. Attacking someone because they like a video game you don't is infinitely more pathetic than just liking a video game.
translation never ever ;-;
You know what to do
I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me.
I will not.

PC version cracked yet?
Based
>fake marketplace
Interesting. I might have to look into this thing a look.
>job changes
if this plays like DQ3, some sort of party grinder with some adventure short quests to mix it up, it may just become one of my favorites in the series.
Why won't they let me buy it
Brain damage + psychosomatic addiction.
The games are designed to be Ultima + Pachinko.
But the Online version is already structured like a normal Dragon Quest game.
I would guess the not realistic art style, colorful world, and enemies that can be considered cute based on my experience with Dragon Quest
but you have to interact with other people
also the combat system in the online version is really not the same as your typical dragon quest game and it sucks
No you don't. The game has NPC party members.
there's still people around, requires a permanent online connection, etc
