>new action MOBA come out
>no one talking about
>actually there are 0 successful launches of new MOBA since League of Legends
Why all attempts fail? Is it because MOBA is genre for poorfags and making a game for modern systems is suicide, or is it because MOBA is crap genre that no one will play if a game doesn't have interesting characters to lure players?

Moba players are like MMO players, once they find their game (dota or league) they would play that one game forever, literally

addicts

dota and lol already exist, whats the point?
I've seen twists on the genre (Super Monday Night Combat, Awesomenauts, etc) but they all die eventually without a massive company behind them constantly churning out updates to keep the addicts invested.

But FF14 managed to finally kill WoW, why does nothing like this happen in the MOBA genre? Plus, even in the MMO genre, there are a dozen popular games and new games like New World are constantly being released.

I checked it out, all the humanoid heros look absurdly generic and there's like 7 non-human heroes

MOBA rosters are one of the most important aspects of the genre, if looking at your characters doesn't make me want to play, it needs to go back to the drawing board

FFXIV didn't kill WoW, WoW killed itself and FFXIV just happened to be the next best thing

Being a sweaty tryhard for 40mins is honestly not cool. So yeah dead genre for new players

>best thing
You guys only playing Twitch bots.

>But FF14 managed to finally kill WoW
never
>WoW in it's prime 12 million active accounts
>FFXIV in it's prime 900k-1m active CHARACTERS (not accounts)
WoW is 18 years old.

This is just a remake of Paragon with the assets from Paragon

You can say the same about LoL, people just stop playing or leave the game for mobile MOBAs, lmao. But Riot is very lucky that there is no analogue of FF14 on the moba market.

English?

>Third person shooter ASSFAGGOTS
We already have one of those and it sucks, it's like they want to fail.

Who is coping? The XIV fag that thinks that XIV is a worldwide phenomenon like WoW in the 00s and that WoW got killed by XIV and not by blizzard itself.

The market leader has to fail spectacularly to lose. It took WoW 16 years to become shitty enough to piss off the die-hards to the point where they refused to eat shit anymore. LoL's almost that old, but for their part MOBA's are more stable and don't require expansions that have major design implications that could radically alter the perception of players have of the game.

>MOBA
no wonder nobody is talking about it

This one in particular is a fan attempt at a re-release of Paragon and is more or less on the ass end of the spectrum compared to its more funded alternatives in Predecessor/Overprime.
Sucks because I think a 3d assfaggot could work fine but Smite's dogshit and barely counts as 3D and everything else died in a year due to mismanagement.

Lol in its current state is even worse than WoW, new champions are broken, boring and make it obvious that the idea of skillfull gameplay is thrown out the window.

>no one remembers moba based on the DC universe
Mega kek, how could DC corporation fail so epically?

But a quick search says it's continued to gain players over the last few years. Yeah the pandemic accounts for a chunk of that, but WoW didn't have that in a significant way so LoL's issues haven't affected peoples perception of it as the place to go to play MOBAs.
