What’s with Nintendo ecelebs that hate RPGs and anime? They absolutely hate the last direct

The Japanese can't write anything to save their lives.
This becomes extremely apparent in JRPGs where writing is a huge part of the game.

It's really fucking weird to me since except for the N64 era, Nintendo has always been the absolute king of RPGs, but Nintendo e-celebs usually only care about Mario and Zelda + whatever other game is their personal quirk, usualy Metroid.

The farming simulators deserve to be mocked though, simply because the games are not good to begin with in their own genre, I've tried the Harvestella demo and it's awful.

People today just do not want to read.

If you ask me, i think a lot of it stems from the stigma against anime that arose in the mid-late 00s.
Anything that wasn't uber popular like DBZ or Pokemon was automatically labeled as "weeaboo" and weird, creepy sex hentai.
That stigma has slowly shrunk over the years as anime has gotten more popular and people have realized there's a lot of good and unique stuff out there, but some people haven't let it go for fear of getting bullied like they did when they played nintendo games as kids.

They're just the most superficial Nintendo "fans", that only give a shit Smash, Mario and Zelda.
Smash is already done and over, Zelda TotK is a known entity so if a Direct doesn't have a new Mario game it's already "worst direct ever" for them.
As a real Nintendo fan I was satisfied since I got to see Fire Emblem Engage, Xenoblade 3, PIKMIN 4 (fucking finally), and the Kirby Return to Dreamland remake was unexpectable but looked very nice. Liked a lot of the 3rd party stuff like Octopath 2 and the new Theaterhythm game.

It also becomes unfatomably apparent if you actually read moon.

And yet Jrpgs have the best sories and characters by far in videogames. Seems like that's more of a problem with the medium

The best selling RPG series is a Nintendo handheld exclusive series. And many of the 3rd and 4th have also been Nintendo exclusives as well.

Hell, their own RPG series which started on one of those systems and was present on both is in the top 20.
