It only lets you play the first Chapter which is pretty much the tutorial.
Combat is fine enough and feels smooth but doesn't really do anything special. Just basic light, heavy attacks which you can chain together for different finishers with spells for special attacks.
You can summon Einherjar which basically act as AI companions during combat. Depending on which Einherjar you summon you can channel their element to your weapon which boosts the effectiveness of spells if they match elements. Outside of combat you can summon them to solve environmental puzzles but in the demo it was as simple as "lock onto thing and summon Einherjar" and they'll just do an action.

Seems like it could be fun depending on how much more opens up in the full game.

It's a little basic, but not bad. Demo doesn't give you much to play around with but the combat is competent enough. Looks and runs way better than the initial trailers made it look at least.
I can see it getting really repetitive if the difficulty doesn't ramp up and the combat options never evolve much. But I'm interested in seeing how the full thing turns out.
