reach was fine.
Reach was meant to end Halo, and you were supposed to move on. What happened to your life that you're still obsessing about something from your childhood?
>dmr start
>sprint
>armor lock
>bloom
>like 3 maps at launch
>horrible performance on the 360 fat
>banshee was hilariously broken
Its only saving grace was forge
Halo 3 was meant to end Halo, Reach only exists to fulfill Bungie's end of a contract.
Reach/ODST would have never been made if it wasn't for the two game deal MS struck with Bungie to let them leave the company.
yi no scarab in later gaem?
i wont scarabb
Reach was fun and 4 was just ok, halo fell apart after 5
>'reach killed halo'
>Universally beloved by all oldfags from halo
>Second highest selling halo ever
fuck off faggot, Halo was killed the moment 343 laid their filthy fucking hands on it. Reach was Bungies last love letter to fans. Old Bungie doesnt even exist anymore as most of the devs have moved on from Bungie and are working for different studios or retired.

Bungie wanted to leave since Halo 2 and Joe and Marty confirmed that Bungie's end of the contract was called the three buckets—Halo 3, the Peter Jackson game, and Halo 4.
Halo: Chronicles became ODST.
Halo 4 became Halo: Reach.
>I wanted the contract with Microsoft to be a very simple thing. It ended up being that we also needed to give them Halo 4. That wasn’t a bad thing—we needed more money to be independent. But there was also a middle game that was going to happen between Halo 3 and Halo 4.
>There was a period where we were going to work on a game with Peter Jackson. We had what we called the three buckets—Halo 3, the Peter Jackson game, and Halo 4. We had to fill those three buckets in order to be completely independent, and own our own IP. We officially became our own business around then, but we still had our contractual obligations with Microsoft.
>"The core of the ODST team was the old Peter Jackson Halo Chronicles team," Staten explained as we sat in a conference room at Bungie headquarters in Kirkland, Washington. "During Halo 3 — and before I started working on ODST — I was the point man for Bungie working on Chronicles. I spent a lot of time with those guys dow in New Zealand when the movie was happening. Gradually that team built up in size. Paul Bertone, the design director of ODST, Mike Woo, our art manager, started to wind over to Chronicles."

lmao it arguably had a better story line then snooze fest Halo 3 had. I get some of the updated shit on multiplayer being cancer but it was still super fun at the time, infection on Reach was peak Halo.
and one of the best campaign endings too, this ending was symbolic, it was an end for Halo ever being good again too

Too bad Bungie has done absolutely nothing of note with their independence. Destiny is a wet fart of a franchise that already ran its course over half a decade ago, what else do they have?
the only people I see still assmad over Reach are all the comp MLG faggots that were never good enough to go pro anyway
ODST was going to just be an expansion but Microshit wanted to count as a full game
I wish I could go back and compel Bungie to take the rights of Halo with them so Microsoft couldn't do jackshit about it when they were done with the IP.
I wonder if the stories that would've been used for Chronicles made it unto Legends and Evolutions or something like that.
I don't think bungie ever owned the rights after they signed on with microsoft in the first place. And even if they did, publishers hold onto IPs with a death grip.
Whatever trick they pulled with activision for destiny must have been wild though.
lol remember that one time Marty had dinner with an Activision exec and they just straight up threatened him
>hey man maybe don't kill your money makers?
>lol, lmao
343 even killed Reach immediately with the Title Update turning every Big Team match into DMR snipe camping because they were so retard accurate.
The DMR was created out of spite and hate and you can't prove me wrong.
>all the same issues the BR had
>but now it also explicitly does extra damage to vehicles, a trait only shared with the fucking sniper rifle
what in the goddamn was bungie smoking
