Acquire me nigger man acquuuuuuuuuiiiiiiire MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

If Xbox could waste almost 70 billion on a meme tier studio like Blizzard I dont see why nobody cant buy Konami and SEGA

Candy Crush and COD are not meme tier

It's Activision blizzard retardbro. I assure you Activision is no meme.

Konami lost their prized son and only does pachinko shit with no direction and Sega hasn't put out a good game in like a decade, why the fuck would you spend money on them to get exclusives

>and Sega hasn't put out a good game in like a decade
"I get my vidya knowledge from Any Forums shitposts, how did you know?"

maybe worth it for the IP's?

Name 1 (ONE) game Sega has put out in the past 5 years that has the same level of success as COD has in that time

>a game doesn't make as much money as CoD?
>that means it's a bad game!

konami and sega have barely/no good studios left and come with too much baggage like pachinko business and random other shit like theme parks and insurance.

Looking at it from a corporate POV? Yes. When they're deciding which developer to buy, they aren't using metacritic to make a decision, they're using the financial results

It's insane to me that despite everything retarded SquareEnix does they're still worth more than Capcom.

Also why the fuck is Bandai Namco worth that much? That post pre-dates Elden Ring's release even.

casino assets

anime games and pachinko

If you see people like that just ignore them. They have no intention of backing down when they're wrong and will continue to move the goalposts until you stop

As a oversocialised bug person who cares more about corporate politics than good video games this excites me sexually

>Bandai Namco
Literally one of if not the biggest toy company with the biggest IPs under their belt.

But wait... EA is one of the companies doing the buying. Isn't this an unfair comparison? Surely you should rank them without EA on the list or you should rank them with Microsoft and Sony on their too.

There were a lot of rumors flying that a MUCH bigger player outside the traditional publishing space was sniffing around buying EA

>Blizzard
*Activision-Blizzard
>Konami and SEGA
Konami is barely a game developer nowadays, you would buy a bunch of IPs without the original development teams to make the games (i.e. you would buy Metal Gear, but no Kojima Productions). SEGA is a hit or miss, most of their own IPs aren't system sellers.

Bamco is huge in the anime industry, they own merchandising rights for a bunch of anime and own studios like Sunrise.

amazon are trying to buy EA. someone fucked up and leaked it ahead of time. expect it to be announced probably early next year.

>Embracer worth more than Ubisoft

It's weird to me that EA is the largest like that because they're almost completely irrelevant to me. Do they even do anything but sports games anymore?

capcom was doing really bad last decade
and you underestimate how big of a series FF is

I wouldn't be surprised to see capcom overtake square in the next 5 years with how things currently are and if they continue as so
capcom has been really blowing it out of the park
square still has a massive appeal to the casual crowd though, a lot of what they put out is quite successfully even if its not liked by a lot of the hardcore audience.

>and you underestimate how big of a series FF is
Isn't it just the online game that is big and that's it? FF is not COD or FIFA. Not even close.

something can be big without being massive user
if you want to be a whiny bitch then neither cod or fifa are big because pokemon exists, minecraft exists, gta exists, terraria exists, mario kart exists, mario exists in general

thats right, fucking terraria is more popular than call of duty, its sold better than literally any call of duty to ever exist

im talking about capcom and SE okay buddy?

square enix does loads of things. they are magazine publishers.
BANDAI namco sells plastic robo toys for losers, they don't even assemble it!

If they were going to go for a Japanese studio I think Capcom would be a better bet, good money to be made with MH.
Maybe SEGA if they want RGG but I think that surge is petering out.

>something can be big without being massive user
You were the one claiming people underestimate how big it is. That kind of implies it's massive. Last I checked it's actually a pretty piss poor flagship franchise that does significantly worse than most other flagship franchises.
