I'd like to say I got older so I grew out of it but I'm in my 30's.
I'd like to say it was the redesign or the API update changing things like streamlink/chat but nope, don't think it's that: I can still use streamlink ad free.
I'd like to say it was the rise of the softcore pornstars, the hong kong feet/pantyhose streamers but nope, don't think it's that.
Maybe it was the streamers I watched back in 2017/2018 getting popular, doing talky best friend parasocial content with chats that are basically just daycare?

-but maybe I just got to the point where everyone I see with more than like 6 viewers is just there for money, just constantly begging, fake nice greeting and it's insufferable.
I'd rather just play a game or watch a letsplay, after all I can do that without dropping into something at the 37% mark or adjusting my life around their schedule and they may or may not even play the game next stream.
So idk, maybe game streaming was just a giant fucking mistake outside of massive events and new releases.
